Marco finally released from prison, then spent his entire life in Venice. He then married Donata Badoer and have three children with her. In 13th century he wrote new version book of his book "II Milione" but then the text was lost, but not before a franciscan translate it to latin then translate it back to italian, creating conflict between different edition of the book. Marco Polo died in 1324 at almost 70 years old.

3 year staying in Venice, he was later captured in a minor clash between Venice and Genoa. Spending a few month in prison, Marco tell the story of his travel to his fellow prisoner (Rustichello da Pisa). Rustichello da Pisa best known for cowriter Marco Polo's autobiography, together they turned the story into the book known as "II Milione".

After 17 years serving Khan, Marco Polo asked for Khan permision to return to Europe and he entrusted Marco Polo with his last duty to escort Mongol princess Koekecin to her betrothed in Persia. The party travel by sea, departed from Guanzhou sailing to Sumatra, Persia via India and Srilanka. After reached Persia duty for Marco Polo accomplish, then he moved to Venice.

I like to watch TV program like National Geographic and Discovery channel. Today National Geographic channel broadcast about Marco Polo in China. When Marco Polo jurney to east he served Kublai Khan for 17 year. Marco Polo carried not only diplomatic assignment from Kublai Khan, he also entertain Kublai Khan with stories from west. He soon became Khan's friend. Kublai Khan also made him as Governor in province Yang Zhou in China.
